Frequently Asked Questions

Over the years, I have been asked almost every question imaginable regarding starting a fitness program.  I have
compiled a list of what I feel are the top 11 questions below:

     1.  What is personal training and do I need a trainer?

Personal training provides one-on-one guidance, teaching, and motivation through an exercise program which the trainer has specifically designed for you. Needing a personal trainer can be determined by asking yourself these questions: Do I need motivation and consistency in my workouts? Am I getting what I need out of my current
workouts or am I just going through the motions? Do I need to increase my stamina and endurance? Do I need to improve my mood and feel better? Do I need to improve the way I handle stress? Do I want a workout that is
effective, a good use of my time, and gets the results I want? Do I need to look better? If you answered yes to one
or all of these questions, a personal trainer can help you develop a successful program.

2.  What kind of results can I expect working with you?

This really depends on how much effort you are willing to put into your training program.  It is important to remember that you would only be training with me 1-4 hours per week, and what you do on your own will make or break your achievements. The closer you follow the fitness/nutrition plan I develop for you, the better your results will be.

3.  How much weight can I lose in a 12 week period?

Again, if you are following your plan as developed in and out of my studio, you can lose approximately 24 pounds in a 12 week period.  Healthy weight loss is no more than 2lbs per week.  Gradual progression is key to successful weight loss as there is no such thing as the “Quick Fix” “Wonder Pill” “Magic Shake”, or any other gimmick that promises
“here today….gone tomorrow”….that is simply crap.

 4. Who Uses Your Services As a Personal Trainer?

The stigma that Personal Trainers are only for the rich and famous or body builders is out the window….YEAH!  I see women from all walks of life to include housewives, businesswomen, athletes, youth, obese patients, as well as
patient rehab and recovery. I also keep my fees below market norms to make my services affordable and available.

5.  How Often Should I Meet With You?

This also depends on your goals and how quickly you want to achieve them.  I recommend at least 2 times per week
to start out.  Although this is recommended, we would discuss your time availability and budget….but when
considering costs, nothing is more beneficial than investing in your health.

6.  Do You Design a Nutrition Plan Because I need to eat Better?

Absolutely YES.  A properly designed nutrition plan combined with your fitness program is key to your success in meeting your life fitness goals.

7.  Do You Have a Payment Plan?

I like to have at least 2 weeks paid in advance as this also serves as an accountability tool for you.  Also, I do have
a 24 hour cancellation policy, so nobody likes to lose $$$$ right?  I accept payment via PayPal which can be accessed on the Home Page of my Fitnes-4-You website, cash, and personal checks. I am willing to talk with you about what works with your budget and we make decisions together on payment plan.

8.  How Do I know if I am Improving? Do You Monitor My Progress?

I keep very thorough records from start to finish. Your assessment includes recording your baseline numbers: weight, head-to-toe measurements, body fat percentage, resting and recovery heart rate.  This procedure is repeated every three months.  I also record your strength gains through every workout.

 9.  Where Are You Located?

I am located in Roseville, California and serve the greater Sacramento, Roseville, Rocklin, Granite Bay, Folsom areas
as well as outer lying areas.

10.  Do You Offer Online Services?

Yes I do.  Although not mentioned in the on-line brochure of Description and Costs, I do offer phone consultations
which would be the same cost as the Fitness Consultation, Program Design, and Nutrition Plans are listed under Description and Costs.  Payment in Advance prior to Services.

11.  What Sets You Apart from Other Personal Trainers?

Besides my degrees in the Sciences, focus on Human Anatomy, Nutrition, National Certifications, and First aid Training,
I have over 20 years experience of working in the health and fitness field, which allows me the ability to design successful programs for my clients.  Very important however is my passion for doing what I do and the positive
attitude I share with every new client that walks through my door.  I walk the talk of what I teach and believe it
would be hypocritical of me to not exemplify good health with my own life. When I am with a client, they know that
they are my focus. It is truly a personal training experience.  The training room is about getting healthy in all areas
of life, physically, nutritionally, and emotionally……and I am happy to say many success stories have come out of the training room.  I invite you to visit my Testimonial Page as my clients say it best;)
